Walk a Mile in Her Shoes 2026 - Hartland

The Municipality of Hartland is proud to support Sanctuary House's annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, a community fundraiser and awareness event dedicated to ending intimate partner and family violence. The event raises funds to provide emergency shelter, counselling, safety planning, advocacy, outreach, and specialized support services for women and children throughout Western New Brunswick.

In Hartland, participants will gather at Walton's Car Wash on Lower Main Street before walking across the world-famous Hartland Covered Bridge and continuing to Orser Park. This scenic community walk provides an opportunity to come together, show support for survivors, and raise awareness about the impact of intimate partner violence.

Everyone is welcome to participate. Walk in heels, sneakers, boots, or any footwear of your choice. Individuals, families, businesses, schools, community groups, and organizations are encouraged to join the walk and help support this important cause. The registration fee is $20 per person, and participants are encouraged to collect pledges to help Sanctuary House reach its 2026 fundraising goal of $50,000.

📋 Registration and pledge forms can be downloaded from our website or picked up at Hartland Town Hall during regular business hours.  See links below.
