I live in the municipality of Hartland. Who will I be voting for?

Hartland is made up of 3 Wards:

    Ward 1 - Somerville, Wakefield, Simonds, Peel

    Ward 2 - Hartland, Coldstream, Bubartown

    Ward 3 - Brighton

Council is made up of one representative for each ward, plus three At Large Council members and a Mayor. The Mayor and At Large seats can be from any of the 3 Wards.

Each resident will cast a total of 5 votes on election day:

    1 vote for Mayor

    3 votes for Councillors At Large

    1 vote for Councillor in the ward of your permanent residence

Candidates for the various seats will be available on ElectionsNB's website once the nominations close.

Once the new Council has been sworn in, the Council members will elect a Deputy Mayor from their elected members. The public does not elect the Deputy Mayor.
