Proposed Fire By-law Amendment

Hartland Town Council passed the 1st and 2nd readings of proposed amendments to Fire By-law No. D-07 at the June 10 Council Meeting, and the third reading will be considered at the June 24 Council Meeting, which will be held at the Triple C in Rockland.

Proposed amendments are as follows:

Section 3(q): Definition of Residential zone now follows the Hartland Zoning by-law and all amendments thereto. This ensures the by-laws are not in contradiction

Section 4(a): Clarification under composition, number of administrators not attending a fire changed from 4 to 2. Administrative members consist of the Treasurer and Secretary.

Section 4(d): Changed department election officiates to the Mayor and CAO.
